What is Single-cask Rum?

Single cask Rum refers to Rum that has been aged in a single barrel or cask rather than being blended with Rums from multiple barrels. This method showcases the unique characteristics of the particular barrel in which the spirit is aged and results in a complex and distinctive flavour profile. Tropical ageing in hot, humid conditions - in contrast to Europe's cooler climate - accelerates maturation, enhancing the flavour infused from the oak barrels.
